‘Dancing With The Stars’ Pro Artem Chigvintsev Arrested On Suspicion Of Domestic Violence
Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Artem Chigvintsev was arrested in Northern California earlier Thursday after a domestic violence incident.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office told TMZ the incident took place in Yountville, CA just before 10 a.m., when deputies responded to a domestic violence call. Deadline understands that Chigvintsev was not scheduled to be a part of the new DWTS season, which is set to premiere September 17. That is surprising as Chigvintsev, who had previously appeared in four seasons of the UK’s Strictly Come Dancing, has been a fixture on the U.S. version for more than a decade, first as a troupe dancer and then as a pro beginning in 2014.
