‘Creature Commandos’: New Look At James Gunn’s DC Supervillain Team

Ahead of next week’s Comic-Con International in San Diego, DC has unveiled a special Comic-Con exclusive preview of James Gunn’s Creature Commandos.

Created by DC Studios co-head James Gunn, Creature Commandos is an animated series that follows a specialized team composed of both supernatural beings and human characters. “[Creature Commandos] picks up directly after our Peacemaker season one finale, which leaves Waller with her hands tied operationally, meaning that she’s no longer able to get away with putting human lives on the line to carry out her clandestine morally questionable missions,” Gunn said of the series at the Annecy Animation Festival. For now, San Diego Comic-Con will feature panels for other notable DC projects, including HBO’s The Penguin and a special screening and discussion for Batman: Caped Crusader.
