‘Creature Commandos’: James Gunn Unveils Mind-Bending New Trailer At NYCC

The Creature Commandos are taking the brand new DC Universe by storm! James Gunn showed off a new trailer for the series at this year’s NYCC.

While most of the internet has been focused on Superman as the first project in the new DC Universe, the true freshman outing is a wacky animated series that leans into James Gunn’s more outlandish tendencies. James Gunn brought together a truly eclectic roster for the series, including Frankenstein (David Harbour), The Bride (Indira Varma), Doctor Phosphorous (Alan Tudyk), Mermaid (Zoe Chao), and Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo). While seemingly an odd group for James Gunn to choose to start his new DC Universe with, Creature Commandos was actually in development long before him and Peter Safran were chosen to helm the reboot.
