‘Crazy Rich Asians’ TV Series in the Works at Max With Adele Lim, Jon M. Chu Returning


Adele Lim and Jon. M Chu are reuniting to develop a 'Crazy Rich Asians' series at Max.

Besides “Crazy Rich Asians,” Lim is best known for 2023’s “Joy Ride,” her directorial debut feature via Lionsgate. She also wrote Disney’s 2021 film “Raya and the Last Dragon.” Currently, she is directing and producing “The Princess Diaries 3” with Anne Hathaway, and her previous credits include TV series such as “One Tree Hill” and “Private Practice.” She is repped by Paradigm and Ginsburg, Daniels, Kallis. Executive producers include Lim via her production company 100 Tigers alongside Naia Cucukov; Chu via his production company Electric Somewhere; Kwan; and Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson via their Color Force banner, which developed and produced the movie.
