‘Condensed’ Grammy Week Schedule Announced by Recording Academy, Focusing on Wildfire Relief
The Recording Academy has released a 'condensed' Grammy Week schedule, focusing on 'events that can be most impactful' for L.A. wildfire relief.
In order to generate maximum support not only for members of the music community but also for all those affected by the crisis in Los Angeles and the city at large, the announcement continues, many events that traditionally make up Grammy Week have been canceled or repurposed. Nearly all non-Academy-related Grammy Week events have been canceled or postponed, including the traditional parties staged by the major music companies. So after thoughtful consideration, and multiple assurances from state and local elected leaders, public safety agencies, and with support from our incredible artist community, we have decided to go ahead with the Grammy telecast and some select events.
