‘CBS Mornings’ To Add A Third Hour, With Debut Expected At End Of September


CBS revamped its morning show in 2021.

Executive producer Shawna Thomas wrote in a memo to staffers that the third hour is being developed for CBS-owned stations, with a simulcast on the streaming channel CBS News 24/7. CBS’ revamped morning show debuted in 2021, and features Gayle King, Tony Dokoupil, Nate Burleson and Vladimir Duthiers. Thomas wrote, “The expansion of CBS Mornings shows a commitment to the brand and the idea that there is a possibility of some growth at a challenging time.
