Laika has brought on “Captain Marvel” filmmakers Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck to adapt and direct a live-action film based on the soon-to-be-released novel “Atmosphere” by Taylor Jenkins Reid(“Daisy Jones and the Six”). Laika (“ParaNorman,” “Kubo and the Two Strings,” upcoming “Wildwood”) is a widely-known animation studio and is now building a live-action subsidiary with projects in development including a feature adaptation of action thriller novel “Seventeen” by screenwriter John Brownlow; and an original, “Crumble,” written and directed by Brian Duffield with Phil Lord and Chris Miller producing.
