‘Call Her Daddy’ Host Alex Cooper Stars in New Doc Premiering at Tribeca

A new documentary on 'Call Her Daddy' host Alex Cooper, plus anniversary events for 'Casino' and 'Paris Burning,' are on the 2025 Tribeca lineup.

It’s unclear, however, to what extent the film will dig into the drama that embroiled Call Her Daddy in 2020, when Cooper and her friend/original co-host, Sofia Franklyn, had a falling out amid contract negotiations with Barstool (the podcast’s former owner and distributor). “I’m beyond excited to be back with Bob and Ben to celebrate Meet the Parents — a movie that’s been making families laugh (and cringe) for a quarter-century, ” Rosenthal said in a statement. Tribeca is all about celebrating the stories that stay with us, and this year’s lineup is full of those fan-favorite reunions and retrospectives that bring us back to the movies we can’t get enough of.”
