The pop icon, 42, injured herself during a visit to the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles this week, and "paramedics showed up at my door," she shared in an Instagram post on May 2. Following reports of an incident involving Spears at the Chateau Marmont, PEOPLE can confirm the "Piece of Me" singer had a fight with Paul Richard Soliz — whom she was first linked to following her split from ex-husband Sam Asghari in August 2023 — at the hotel. The exes will be declared legally single on Dec. 2, since California law requires a waiting period of six months or more.
