‘Bring Her Back’ Trailer: ‘Talk to Me’ Team Makes Sally Hawkins a Scary, Grieving Foster Mom

In the 'Bring Her Back' trailer, Sally Hawkins, playing a grieving mom, scares the foster kids she's taken in.

The clip opens with two foster siblings (Billy Barratt and Sora Wong) peering over an open casket as an adult tells them they’ll be going to live with “a new foster mum called Laura … You’re going to love her.” Five seconds later, Laura seems normal enough, except for how she’s grieving her late daughter, Cathy, and has preserved her bedroom the way it was. Before long, they’re watching home videos of Cathy, there are flashes of a living corpse, and Laura is saying she never coped with the loss of her daughter. Rolling Stone dubbed the film one of the most anticipated movies of the summer, describing it as “another horror flick dialed up to 11.” “Things get extremely scary,” it says, “and more than a little gory.”
