‘Bridgerton’ Star Harriet Cains & ‘Jojo Rabbit’ Actor Luke Brandon Field Leading 1979-Set Horror Film ‘Video Killed The Radio Star’, Filming Underway
The film follows a pirate radio DJ who accidentally unleashes a demonic force during his broadcast.
The film heralds from director Brad Watson ( I’ll Play Mother) and recently launched genre outfit Dreamtown (previously known as The Number 44), a division of UK firm Goldfinch. The team says the story, crafted by Ben Charles Edwards ( Quant) and Kirsty Bell ( A Bird Flew In), explores how the rising popularity of 1980s music videos posed a threat to traditional radio broadcasts. Dreamtown co-founder Ben Charles Edwards said: “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Luke Brandon Field and Harriet Cains headline Video Killed the Radio Star.
