‘Bridesmaids’ Director Paul Feig to Helm Bad Roommate Thriller for Blumhouse
Paul Feig, director of 'The Heat' and 'Bridesmaids,' will make a thriller about a bad roommate for 'Get Out' and 'The Purge' producer Blumhouse.
He’s already dramatized the carnage that can ensue after eating at an iffy Brazilian steakhouse in “Bridesmaids” or performing an emergency tracheotomy at a Denny’s in “The Heat.” Now, Paul Feig will show the chaos that can be caused by a bad roomie. Although Feig is best known for comedies, he has also directed “A Simple Favor,” a crackling thriller with Anna Kendrick, Henry Golding and Blake Lively, as well as “The School for Good and Evil,” a fantasy film that Netflix released in 2022. “Jason and I have been trying to find the perfect project to collaborate on for years and this story is tailor-made to deliver the scares, thrills, emotion and comedy of dread that both he and I like to entertain audiences with,” Feig said.
