The mother of all reunions is not over yet: Chuck Lorre says Charlie Sheen will return for a cameo (or two?) in season 2 of Max's Bookie.
The reunion almost upstaged the comedy itself, which follows bookie Danny (Maniscalco) as he and his partner, former NFL star Ray ( Omar J. Dorsey), romp around Los Angeles trying to keep their illegal sports betting operation in play. Lorre’s co-creator on the comedy, Nick Bakay, said the two of them have been marveling about how their art is currently imitating the real life gambling controversy surrounding Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani. Bookie also stars Vanessa Ferlito as Danny’s side-hustling sister Lorraine and Jorge Garcia as reluctantly reformed drug dealer turned soccer expert Hector as well as Maxim Swinton as Sandra’s 10-year-old son.
