The drama’s subject is World War II hero Dietrich Bonhoeffer ( Jonas Dassler), a pacifist pastor who conspired to bring an end to the Nazi regime, fearlessly speaking the truth while facing unyielding oppression and evil. Angel Studios, which showed the Bonhoeffer trailer at its CineEurope presentation today, is celebrating its inaugural year as a theatrical distributor, topping $300 million in global box office in 2023.
