‘The Assassin’ has been set at Amazon Prime by Harry and Jack Williams.
The Williams’ production outfit Two Brothers Pictures ( The Tourist, Boat Story, Fleabag) is producing the series in association with ZDF who is the German co-production partner, All3Media International, and Stan in Australia. Also starring are Gina Gershon ( Riverdale), Shalom Brune-Franklin ( The Tourist), Jack Davenport ( The Morning Show), Alan Dale ( Dynasty) Gerald Kyd ( The Swarm), Devon Terrell ( Totally Completely Fine), Richard Dormer ( Blue Lights) and David Dencik ( The Ipcress File). The show’s synopsis reads: Secluded on a remote Greek island, retired assassin Julie (Hawes) has a somewhat thorny reunion with her estranged son, Edward (Highmore), visiting from England.
