Netflix is offering the first sneak peak of Bodkin, its dark comedic thriller about a motley crew of podcasters ( Will Forte, Siobhán Cullen, Robyn Cara) who set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in a quaint, coastal Irish town. Dropping May 9, Bodkin is from Barack and Michelle Obama ‘s Higher Ground productions — the company’s first scripted drama series at Netflix as part of its overall deal. Scharf and Alex Metcalf ( The Loudest Voice, Sharp Objects) serve as co-showrunners and executive produce with the Obama, along with Tonia Davis for Netflix-based Higher Ground, David Flynn and Paul Lee for wiip and Nne Ebong for Netflix.
