‘Bob Marley: One Love’ Rules U.K., Ireland Box Office


Paramount's 'Bob Marley: One Love' debuted atop the U.K. and Ireland box office with $8.7 million.

“All of Us Strangers” lead Andrew Scott stars in filmed theater release “Vanya – NT Live 2024” from the U.K.’s National Theatre, which opens on Thursday. Among them are two films that bowed at Toronto – Thea Sharrock’s “Wicked Little Letters,” starring Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley, and Michael Winterbottom’s Palestine-Israel story “Shoshana.” Mubi is opening German auteur Wim Wenders’ Cannes-winning and Oscar nominated Japanese film “Perfect Days,” while Miracle/Bohemia is bowing Mexican maestro Michel Franco’s Venice winner “Memory,” starring Jessica Chastain and Peter Sarsgaard. Sony is releasing highly anticipated anime title “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba -To The Hashira Training,” while Signature Entertainment is scaring up horror-thriller “Out Of Darkness,” which debuted at Sitges and won breakthrough performance at the British Independent Film Awards for Safia Oakley-Green.
