‘Bob Marley’ Continues U.K., Ireland Box Office Reign as ‘Dune 2’ Looms


Paramount's 'Bob Marley: One Love' topped the U.K. and Ireland box office for the second consecutive weekend with $3 million.

The all-star cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Charlotte Rampling and Javier Bardem reprising their roles from the first film, with Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken and Léa Seydoux joining them. Tull Stories is releasing Tallinn Black Nights-winning comedy-drama “Driving Mum,” while Curzon is bowing drama “Red Island,” which has had considerable festival play including at San Sebastian and London. The highlight of the Indian releases this weekend is Kiran Rao’s sophomore effort, the feminist romp “Laapata Ladies,” which gained much acclaim when it premiered at Toronto 2023.
