‘Blue Bloods’ Spinoff Ordered at CBS as Donnie Wahlberg’s Danny Reagan Heads to Boston P.D.
Donnie Wahlberg will return in a new offshoot of "Blue Bloods," as Danny Reagan heads to Boston PD.
There, he will be partnered with Detective Lena Peters, “the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family.” After “Blue Bloods” was canceled after 14 seasons, the cast was very vocal about continuing the universe, but Wahlberg wasn’t sure how that would work without the family. I would probably drive to New York from Ohio, if I was Danny, to go to every dinner and back,” Wahlberg told Variety of his character.
