Blue Bloods showrunner Kevin Wade admitted that ending the beloved series was shocking, considering it left “a hole” in the CBS lineup. The plot of the book, which is available for purchase now, seems to draw parallels to some aspects of Blue Bloods, and he said that working on the show gave him the tools necessary to craft an accurate story. Amid promoting his new project, Wade acknowledged that Blue Bloods fans were still hoping that another season of the show was in the cards, however, CBS had different plans.
