‘Blue Bloods’ Is Officially Getting an Offshoot With Donnie Wahlberg in Boston, CBS Announces


Blue Bloods is officially getting a spinoff after ending its initial 14-season run. Donnie Wahlberg is set to reprise his role as Danny Reagan in the new show.

On Tuesday, February 18, CBS shared a press release saying that Donnie Wahlberg will be starring in a spinoff of the hit police procedural drama. Donnie, 55, will be reprising his role as NYPD Detective Danny Reagan, which he played in Blue Bloods for all 14 seasons. Once in Boston, he is paired with detective Lena Peters, the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family,” the press release says.
