When asked about the recent reports, James Gunn revealed that the upcoming DC Universe project for the Caped Crusader has, in fact, not been delayed despite the director’s claims. To reestablish the facts, Andy Muschietti was originally set to direct Batman: The Brave and The Bold for the DC Universe following his commitment to the Max series Welcome to Derry. So while from his perspective a lack of a script means that production is delayed, James Gunn likely simply hasn’t found a pitch for the film that he feels will do the character justice in his writer-centric reboot.
