‘Barbie’ Producer LuckyChap Rolls Dice On ‘Monopoly’ With Lionsgate & Hasbro – CinemaCon
Lionsgate and Hasbro have entered into a deal with Barbie producer LuckyChap to produce Monopoly, a feature based on the classic board game.
LuckyChap, the award-winning production company headed by Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara, said in a statement today, “Monopoly is a top property – pun fully intended. Zev Foreman, Head of Film for Hasbro Entertainment, added, “As one of the most iconic games in the world, Monopoly provides an incredible platform for storytelling opportunities. LuckyChap most recently produced the worldwide phenomenon Barbie, as well as Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn and the upcoming release My Old Ass, a hit at Sundance starring Aubrey Plaza and Maisy Stella.
