‘Babylon Berlin’ Star Gives Update On Series Five After Sky Exit
Sky Deutschland may be out on the hit series but the creators and actors are gearing up on the fifth season.
EXCLUSIVE: Things have been quiet on the Babylon Berlin front since the shock news came down middle of last year that Sky was pulling out of original commissioning in Germany, including on the hit period drama. Producer Beta Film couldn’t confirm a timetable or financial structure for the show but told us: “The season is currently in development. German free TV network ARD Degato and producers Beta and X-Filme put out a statement last summer that production would continue without Sky.
