However, following Jonathan Majors’ ousting from the role of Kang the Conqueror, the studio made a massive pivot to bring Doctor Doom in as the new big bad of the saga. Continuing the rumor, the scooper revealed that Doctor Doom was supposed to be the villain of the next saga, but plans had to be changed once Kang the Conqueror fell through. It’s interesting to hear that, if Kang the Conqueror had never left his post from the Avengers films, Marvel always planned to make Doctor Doom the big bad of the MCU.
