‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Rumor Teases The Return Of The Watchers

Is The Watcher making his live-action debut in the MCU? A new rumor for Avengers: Doomsday reveals the character’s role in the upcoming film.

While initially only represented by Uatu The Watcher, played by Jeffrey Wright, the series’ final outing revealed that a group of these beings have been watching over the multiverse since time immemorial. While it wasn’t made clear which representatives of the race would appear in the MCU’s upcoming crossover, it’s more likely than not that Jeffrey Wright will return to play Uatu The Watcher in the film, likely forming a new team of Exiles to help take down the multiversal threat of Doctor Doom. Uatu The Watcher specifically is very closely tied to The Fantastic Four, meaning that Jeffrey Wright may return to cameo in the post-credits scene of the film as the heroes are pulled into the Sacred Timeline to take place in the war against Doomsday.
