One of the most shocking moments to come out of this years San Diego Comic-Con was the reveal that Robert Downey Jr. would be making his return to the MCU as Doctor Doom. This seemingly came as a shock to his Iron Man co-star Gwyneth Paltrow, who commented “I don’t get it, are you a baddie now?” under his Instagram reveal for Avengers: Doomsday. However, given this saga’s focus on the mulitverse, along with the fact that the film’s Fantastic Four won’t even be from the main universe, it’s almost certain that the star will be playing a variant of the iconic villain.
