‘Asterix, The Kingdom of Nubia’ Hits Cannes Market With ‘The Count of Monte-Cristo’ Writers; SND Boarding Sales (EXCLUSIVE)
Hit French comics franchise 'Asterix' is set for an animated journey penned by 'Monte-Cristo' helmers Matthieu Delaporte, Alexandre de la Patelliere.
The film is directed by Alexandre Heboyan, who previously helmed “Mune,” and attended the prestigious Gobelins school in France before working at DreamWorks. “We have a strong creative team with Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patelliere, who have a know-how in tackling comedies and iconic characters with a modern edge and will make this film a formidable adventure family comedy,” said SND’s sales team, which is led by Ramy Nahas, head of international sales and distribution. Besides “The Count of Monte Cristo,” Delaporte and de la Patelliere are also behind the two-part epic adventure saga “The Three Musketeers,” which were released in France last year.
