‘Argo’ Editor and ‘Unstoppable’ Director William Goldenberg to Get Camerimage Honor
Oscar-winning editor and 'Unstoppable' director William Goldenberg will be honored at Camerimage.
Goldenberg won an Academy Award for Ben Affleck’s historical thriller “Argo,” which traced the rescue of six U.S. diplomats from Iran during the 1979-81 hostage crisis. He has also received Oscar noms for Michael Mann’s “The Insider,” Gary Ross’ “Seabiscuit,” Kathryn Bigelow’s “Zero Dark Thirty” and Morten Tyldum’s “The Imitation Game.” HIs credits also include “News of the World,” “Unbroken” and “Pleasantville.” Also during Camerimage, Oscar nominated DP Ed Lachman is scheduled to accept the Lifetime Achievement Award and screen some of his movies including his latest, Pablo Larraín’s “Maria.” Steve McQueen, director of best picture Oscar winner “12 Years a Slave” and upcoming “Blitz,” will receive the Outstanding Director Award, while “Blitz,” lensed by Yorick Le Saux, will open the festival in competition.
