An Enemy of the People, director Sam Gold’s Broadway revival of the Ibsen classic starring Jeremy Strong and Michael Imperioli, is off to a great start, grossing more than $1M last week and playing to stand-room-only crowds. Water For Elephants, the circus-themed musical at the Imperial, played five previews (one performance was canceled), with a gross of$540,599 and attendance at 88% of capacity. In the final week at its non-profit run at the Hayes Theatre (before a commercial transfer to the Belasco on March 25), Second Stage’s Appropriate was a sell-out, grossing$950,927.
