Earlier this week, the reality star reported new fiancé Gary Wayt missing to the police while the couple were in North Carolina for a family wedding. In a statement to The U.S. Sun on Wednesday, police revealed that Amber told them she and Gary got into “an argument” after her brother Shawn Portwood ’s wedding on Sunday. They went on to confirm that when Gary never came back, the MTV personality called them on Monday at around 4 p.m. to report that her partner had been missing since Sunday evening around 6 p.m. Law enforcement also noted that Gary — who was called Amber’s “boyfriend” and “soon-to-be husband” in the statement — has not reached out to any friends or family since he disappeared.
