Chaos ensues in the trailer for Americana when a bunch of poor white people scramble to filch a “Lakota Indian ghost shirt,” as the only rich character describes it, and sell it for half a million dollars. The film stars Sydney Sweeney, Paul Walter Hauser, Halsey, Eric Dane, and Zahn McClarnon and will hit theaters on Aug. 22. “Tost’s first feature is an admirably weird and engaging odyssey that’s like Tarantino meets The Sugarland Express(with a healthy dose of Smokey and the Bandit),” Rolling Stone reported at the time.
