‘American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez’ Trailer: NFL Star’s Murder Conviction Comes to Light in Ryan Murphy’s FX Series


The trailer for Ryan Murphy and FX's 'American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez' unveils the limited series about the New England Patriots star's crimes.

The 10-episode limited series premieres on FX with two episodes on Sept. 17 and follows the development and family background of the NFL football player Aaron Hernandez — and his violent crimes, murder conviction and death by suicide. Josh Andrés Rivera (“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” “West Side Story”) stars as Hernandez, who was drafted to the New England Patriots as a tight end in 2010 and played three seasons with the team. Hernan Lopez and Marshall Lewy of Wondery executive produce, along with Linda Pizutti Henry and Ira Napoliello of the Boston Globe.
