‘Alien: Romulus’ Bursts Onto U.K., Ireland Box Office Charts, Dethrones ‘It Ends With Us’


Disney's 'Alien: Romulus' topped the U.K. and Ireland box office in its opening weekend, earning $4.8 million.

Looking ahead, the coming week sees Warner Bros.’ thriller “Blink Twice” directed by Zoë Kravitz and headlined by Channing Tatum, set for a wide release in over 300 locations, while Miracle/Dazzler brings animation “Noah’s Ark” to screens. Entertainment Film Distributors is opening the modern re-imagining of 1994 cult classic, “The Crow,” while Universal is bowing Berlin-debuting horror-thriller “Cuckoo,” starring Hunter Schafer. From India, Dreamz Entertainment is re-releasing megastar Chiranjeevi’s 2002 hit “Indra” on the occasion of his birthday on Aug. 22 and the distributor is also bowing Telugu-language comedy “Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam.”
