Jac Schaeffer will direct the pilot episode of the upcoming Disney+ TV adaptation of Holes
Schaeffer will direct the pilot episode of the streamer’s upcoming gender-swapped Holes television series, Deadline has confirmed. The adaptation of Louis Sachar’s 1998 novel was announced in January, reimagining the story with a female lead. Written by Alina Mankin with Liz Phang as showrunner, Holes the series centers on a teenage girl who is sent to a detention camp where the ruthless Warden forces the campers to dig holes for a mysterious purpose.
