‘Abbott Elementary’ Wanted to Cast Daniel Radcliffe in a Very Special Role


‘Abbott Elementary’ creator Quinta Brunson revealed that she once pitched Daniel Radcliffe as a potential guest star on the ABC comedy

Played by William Stanford Davis, Mr. Johnson is the school’s curmudgeonly janitor and a fan favorite character. Brunson noted that the writers behind Abbott Elementary have often pitched some of the craziest ideas when it comes to who could portray Mr. Johnson’s on screen family. Abbott Elementary left several characters at a crossroads ahead of season 3 — and behind the scenes obstacles have since created more challenges for the show.
