In the new trailer, typically inept principal Ava Coleman (Janelle James) has returned for the new year with a whole new perspective on her job. As for the status of Gregory and Janine (played by the show’s creator Quinta Brunson), the trailer merely teases updates on their will they-won’t they relationship. Ahead of the new season, Brunson took home an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
