‘A Man Called Ove’ Producer Nicklas Wikström Nicastro Preps Swedish Cycling Biopic ‘SteelGrandpa’ (EXCLUSIVE)
'SteelGrandpa,' a biopic on Swedish cycling legend Gustaf Håkansson, begins production, directed by Mårten Klingberg.
“This story is full of heart, just the kind of tale we want to champion,” said Nicastro, whose film “A Man Called Ove” was both a Swedish box office hit and an Oscar nominee. Director Mårten Klingberg expressed enthusiasm for the project: “I’m extremely happy and grateful to have been asked to direct a film based on such an exciting and inspiring person as Stålfarfar. “SteelGrandpa” is set to capture not only the thrilling journey of a man who wouldn’t quit, but also the universal message of resilience, spirit and following your passion at any age.
