9-1-1 Season-Finale Recap: Not Just a Number
Thank you to 9-1-1 for the closure, but perhaps we could have taken a different route to get there?
For the most part, “Seismic Shifts” is a forgettable installment of the show, focused far more on a not terribly compelling disaster than on the interpersonal dynamics between characters still reeling from a massive loss. My biggest problem with the episode is that the central crisis — the collapse of the apartment building that served as last week’s cliffhanger — does not have the scope of a tsunami, an overturned cruise ship, or yes, a bee-nado. Sounding an awful lot like the late captain Nash, Chimney adds, “We are his legacy, so we can miss him and we can mourn him, and we can even curse his name, but we are not going to disrespect him by throwing away what he built right here.” Is it any surprise that Hen answers with a “copy that, cap”?
