70s rock legends cancel shows after frontman announces cancer diagnosis

Platt announced their diagnosis with followers last week in a Facebook post, revealing the cancer has not spread and plans to remove his thyroid.

The rock band, behind the classics Dust In The Wind and Carry On Wayward Son, catapulted their wildly successful career with the release their first album Topeka in 1974. The group's original line-up consisted of Richard Williams, Phil Ehart, Kerry Livgren, Steve Walsh, Robbie Steinhardt, and Dave Hope. Now Williams and Ehart are the only remaining original members of the group, which now also includes Platt, Zak Rivi, Tom Brislin, Joe Deninzon, and Dan McGowan.
