50 Cent sues jeweler for trademark infringement after rapper warned him against copying his designs

Maksud has been posting content on his Instagram which feature 50 Cent, but the Power executive producer says the clips can mislead customers into believing the rapper approves of the knockoffs.

TMZ reports the rapper - real name Curtis James Jackson - filed a lawsuit against Maksud Agadjani and his TraxNYC Corp., alleging copyright infringement and a violation of his right of publicity. Maksud has posted content on his social media which feature an imitation 50 Cent necklace along with images of the rapper, but the Power executive producer says the clips can mislead customers into believing he approves of the knockoffs. The lawsuit added that Jackson did not buy his necklace from TraxNYC and Maksud and neither did he allow them to 'capitalize on his goodwill and reputation in order to promote their goods and services.'
