According to Us Weekly, which first obtained the lawsuit, 50 Cent — whose real name is Curtis Jackson — is suing the 37-year-old woman for “falsely and publicly” accusing him of “rape and physical abuse” which she says allegedly occurred during their relationship together from 2011 to 2013. The rapper has previously released statements slamming Daphne Joy’s sexual assault and abuse claims as “false and baseless accusations.” And now in the new suit, he added that he has been “subjected to extensive public ridicule, hatred, and contempt” after having to deal with Joy’s public allegations. 50 Cent is seeking to “vindicate his rights and protect his reputation” after what he called Joy’s “calculated attack” on Instagram.
