Alongside a screenshot of a Deadline article reporting on Henson's recent comments, which she made during a chat for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Power producer 50 Cent praised her decision and invited her to work on something together. Following the conclusion of Empire, Fox announced plans for a Cookie-led spinoff, with Henson involved in its development alongside co-creators Lee Daniels and Danny Strong. Last month, she spoke about facing pay inequality as a Black actress, and Keke Palmer co-signed her comments.
