This MCU mid-quel (it mostly takes place between after the events of Captain America: Civil War and the end of the Infinity Saga) tells the origin story of Natasha Romanoff ( Scarlett Johansson), the elite spy and Avenger with a sketchy past. Little Women tells the story of the March sisters, Meg ( Emma Watson), Jo ( Saoirse Ronan, who also received an Oscar nomination for her role in the film), Amy and Beth ( Eliza Scanlen) as they come of age in Concord, Massachusetts, during the 19th century. This colorful and intelligent film is both funny and poignant, and Pugh’s performance as the famous blonde home invader is, to borrow her catchphrase, “just right.” She brings an endearing vulnerability to the character, who in this universe is a tough-as-nails outlaw and thief.
