49ers' Ricky Pearsall in 'Stable Condition' After Shooting, Team Says
Wide receiver Ricky Pearsall, who was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in April, was the victim of an attempted robbery and shooting on Saturday, August 31
“San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall was the victim of an attempted robbery and shooting this afternoon,” the NFL team wrote in a Saturday, August 31 statement. “This kind of violence is simply unacceptable in our city and we will do everything in our power to work with District Attorney Brooke Jenkins to ensure that justice is served in this matter,” Scott added on Saturday. Pearsall, who missed part of training camp for hamstring and shoulder injuries, previously played college football for Arizona State and the University of Florida, wishing the latter team luck hours earlier on Saturday.
