2025 Met Gala Theme: ‘Tailored for You’ Dress Code Explained in Personalized Menswear Twist
The 2025 Met Gala theme of 'Tailored for You' is vaguer than years past. Life & Style breaks down what fashion fans can expect with the unusual dress code.
Attendees to the A-list event have been given a wide berth in which to express themselves sartorially, as the dress code “can be interpreted in a myriad of ways, but it mostly means embracing looks reflective of one’s personal style,” according to the publication. However, in a nod to the menswear exhibit, Vogue said that key items guests can wear to go with the theme include suits, along with such accessories as “hats, ties, canes, brooches and pocket squares.” In keeping with the menswear theme of the exhibit focusing on the style history of Black dandyism, the cochairs of the gala includes fashionable male stars as actor Colman Domingo, Formula One legend Lewis Hamilton, rapper A$AP Rocky and multihyphenate Pharrell Williams.
