After a long spell at NBC (which terminated amid a rocky period for the awards show during the early 2020s), the Golden Globes aired on CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday (Jan. 5). The 2025 Golden Globes ceremony is the first in a five-year deal with the TV network and the streaming service as the once-beleaguered show gets a new lease on life. And not just in the musical categories – Grande and Gomez are among the nominees for best performance by a female actor in a supporting role in any motion picture for their work in Wicked and Emilia Pérez, respectively.
