2025 CBGB Festival to feature Iggy Pop, Jack White, Sex Pistols, Johnny Marr, Marky Ramone & more.
There will also be a limited number of special “young punk” discounted GA ticket available to New York residents under 25 — in person only — at a box office pop-up at Music Hall of Williamsburg on Saturday (May 17) at 12 p.m. In addition to a full day of music, organizers are promising vintage and new merch, local food and drink and immersive CBGB installations, including the original club’s bar and stage. The former East Village rock club, whose name stood for “Country, Bluegrass, Blues and Other Music For Uplifting Gourmandizers” opened its doors in December 1973 and quickly became a mecca for the city’s then-evolving punk scene, playing host to some of the most iconic bands of the era, including the Ramones, Blondie, Talking Heads, Television, Patti Smith Group, Dead Boys, Richard Hell and many more.
