2024 DNC Roll Call & Their Hot 100 Anthems Recap | Billboard News
The 2024 DNC roll call in Chicago was full of Hot 100 hits, and Donald Trump’s spokesperson uses Kamala Harris’ campaign song, “Freedom” by Beyoncé.
Kamala Harris’ home state used “California Love” for obvious reasons, and also Compton Native, Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.” Sorry Drake. While Tim Walz’s Minnesota used a medley of Prince songs including “Kiss.” Many anthems were from artists that call their state home. Other hometown heroes included Puerto Rico’s Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, Tennessee’s Dolly Parton, Washington’s Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and PA’s Wiz Khalifa.
