1000-Lb. Sisters' Amy Arrested for Drug Possession, Child Endangerment

'1000-Lb. Sisters' Amy Slaton was arrested at a Tennessee zoo on drug possession and child endangerment charges

The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department confirmed via Facebook that Slaton, 36, was taken into custody on Monday, September 2, after police responded to a call about a guest being bit by a camel at a local drive-through zoo. According to Public Information Officer Stephen Sutton, a zoo employee called 911 to report Slaton was bitten by a camel and as a result of an alleged injury was taken to the ER and later arrested after she received medical care. Slaton’s sons Gage, 4, and Glenn, 2 — whom she shares with her ex-husband, Michael Halterman — were present in her car at the time of her arrest but were not injured, according to the Crockett County Sheriff, who also told Us that the Department of Children and Family Services has become involved with the case.
